Andrea Ekizian is “Andrea” of the Armenian Rug Riders, a lead singer who has talent and energy to burn. Andrea is known for her amazing renditions of some of the classic Rock tunes of all time. Driven by Andrea’s powerful vocals and a band that just flat-out Rocks, the Rug Riders will have you dancing and grooving all night long. Andrea will be joining us with an acoustic rendition! Additionally, we will be featuring Terlatto Pinot Grigio pour by guest sommelier Zach Kameron.

Sarah Browne is an indie-folk singer-songwriter currently based in NYC. She discovered her love of songwriting at the age of eighteen. After she had written her first song, she felt compelled to share her music with others. Sarah’s songwriting style has been molded by artists she grew up listening to throughout her childhood such as Joni Mitchell, the Dixie Chicks and James Taylor. Sarah’s debut album, entitled To You, has been featured on The Peak 107.1 FM and on WHUD 100.7 FM.

Sarah will be joined by her band, which includes world-class fiddler Greg Holt and multi-talented Matthew Hadley on drums.

New York-based MOJO is a bright, not-to-be-missed addition to Winston’s line-up. Singer Mo Jami’s voice has been likened to Seal and George Michael. One of Mo’s Seal covers has over 750,000 plays on YouTube (search “Seal Don’t Cry Mo The Musician”). Mo’s rhythmic partner is drummer Alan Johnson. MOJO is born of the idea that two great musicians, with minimal technology and superior skill, can redefine what is possible from a live band. Listeners will hear hits from Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Smokey Robinson, David Bowie, Madonna and more — all with 4-part vocal harmony and infectious rhythm.

Rooted in percussive acoustic guitar and soulful vocals, Drew Bordeaux laces his sound with live loops and violin solos. Meshing core influences – from blues to popular radio – the resulting sound harkens to Bill Withers and Richie Havens, with the energy and spirit of 80s New Wave, such as The Police and Talking Heads, and the contemporary sonic stamp of Ed Sheeran, Ben Harper and David Gray.

Bordeaux has opened for Daughtry and Boz Scaggs, has shared the bill with KT Tunstall and Guster, is now regularly performs in the Member’s Only room of The Paramount (Huntington, NY).

Emily, hailing from the defunct factory town of Binghamton, NY, pop-folk singer/songwriter and producer Emily Angell is redefining a woman’s role in the music business, grassroots style. She can be seen all over New York singing, strumming and wailing on the harmonica. Fans describe her as “Jewel, but edgier” and AllMusic.com notes that her songs “combine the conversational innocence of Taylor Swift with the slow-burn defiance of Alanis Morissette.”

Kimberly Hawkey is a modern singer with a sound from another era. Drawing on popular songs from the 30s and 40s, she is lauded as “a delightfully fresh-voiced treat” (Broadway World) and “a true lead singer with real presence and substance behind the style” (Sarasota Observer). Kimberly performs throughout NYC as bandleader of The Swingaroos Territory Band, and as the writer and performer of “AS HERSELF”; a Hollywood-themed tribute to the stars of the swing-era.

Vocalist and Upright Bassist, Chris Conte performs classic, swinging American Songbook jazz & blues favorites. He takes influence from musical legends, such as Nat “King” Cole, Tony Bennett, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Steve Tyrell, Harry Connick Jr., and Diana Krall, while his voice is often compared to that of a young Chet Baker or Mel Torme. His performance will satisfy audiences of all types. While his singing, bass playing, and band mates will be featured, the real stars of the night are the timeless songs.

Vocalist Jess Best is a true songbird – her smooth, sultry voice floating over the groove in any style. Best is fast emerging as a major talent. Her debut album Gone Baby, is a landscape of modern soul, twisting jazz into blues and R&B. The album is grounded in colorful progressions, deep grooves, rich harmonies and nuanced lyrics combined together to create a raw and intimate conversation.
Best can be found frequently performing at venues in NYC and the greater New York area and was recently featured in Refinery 29 as a NYC Musician to look out for.
At Winston she will be joined by bassist Connor Schultze, playing music from their new release “Kids Again.”
